Avocado and chocolate?
I’m into it.
It’s definitely not an ordinary peanut butter & jelly or salt and pepper combo, but it tastes amazing and its a lot more fun! The avocado provides the creamy texture and the other ingredients give flavor that will make you forget you’re eating a superfood!
Trust me on this one.
I work at a bistro in Camp Randall. Last Friday after work, my coworkers and I were allowed to bring home leftovers. When I left Camp Randall, my Longchamp was filled with Bucky sandwiches, chicken salad, and a massive bag of avocados. If that isn’t #winning, idk what is.
So… what’s a gal to do with a whole bag of avocados? Naturally, I turn to avocado mousse. I put those avocados to work.
Heres what you need:
Recipe
1 medium avocado
1/4 cup cacao powder
3.5 T maple syrup
2 T coconut milk
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
Directions
Blend all ingredients. Refrigerate in an airtight container then dig in!! Top with dark chocolate, coconut shavings, berries, or cacao nibs.
