Anyways, I was scrolling through Facebook and I noticed that the “Kitchen Safe: Time Locking Container” was in my feed… and it didn’t seem to go away.
Was I searching online for a time locking container? No – but I was researching something else that would pair very nicely with it because I have absolutely no control with this product.
Can you take a guess what this food product is..?!
YES – you got it! Food Stirs!
Food Stirs recently sent me some products to try out.
I received an email from my apartment notifying me that I recieved a package ( the Food Stirs package ) EXACTLY when I step foot on my bus home for spring break. At least I had something to look forward to when I would get back.
But like, c’mon, I have the patience of a 4 year old child waiting for my dessert during dinner.
When I got back from spring break, I dove into those bake mixes HEAD freaking FIRST – think Tom Daley meets hangry 4 y/o. That was me :’)
I’ve heard fab things about Food Stirs, but I wanted to look a bit deeper into their products and see if these mixes were worth all of the hype.
I was very impressed with their products because they have something that many other baking products don’t have – organic, ethically sourced ingredients. But most importantly, the cleaner ingredients don’t substitute for taste. Again, the appearance of the Time Locking Safe Jar didn’t Facebook appear in my feed out of coincidence.
Let’s break it down a bit. Food Stirs :
♡ uses non-GMO ingredients
♡ supports small farms
♡ uses planting methods that keep the soil healthy.
♡ doesn’t use any sketchy ingredients like “Red 40” or unpronounceable words.
TBH – I don’t think that I’ve ever heard of a baking company that supports healthy soil.
When I was a nanny, the kids and I would treat ourselves to a dessert once a week. To keep the kids entertained ( and burn some time ), we would often bake what we would call “silly” brownies ( AKA as “slutty” brownies ). A “Silly” brownie has 3 layers: a cookie, brownie, and Oreo layer.
The mom I nannied for is a fellow health nut and was concerned about the brownies mixes, cookie dough, and Oreos. They were not only sugary, but also didn’t contain clean ingredients.
So, we switched to making other sweet treats from scratch that had All Hails-approved ingredients. However, I found that measuring out so many different ingredients with the kids was a mood killer and made the cleaning up process very difficult.
If you haven’t cleaned up for a couple 8 year old girls and a 4 year old boy, consider yourself v lucky.
Instead of avoiding the “silly” brownies and creating a mess in the kitchen, I could have used these mixes because it would..
♡ Reduce the mess I would have less to clean up &…
♡ I would not have to feel guilty treating the kids to sketchy ingredient brownies.
These ingredients are very clean, but just because something says “organic” doesn’t mean that it is quote, “good for you”! The goal of these baking mixes is provide a clean, ethically sourced baking mixes to the market! Let’s be honest, we all will treat ourselves to a brownie or cookie sometime and when we do, let’s be on the look out for the ingredients and the source of those ingredients. That is why I love this product.
So when I received the brownie mix, the cookie dough mix, and pancake mix, I did what any logical foodie would do…
I made myself a DELISH BROOKIE – a “silly” / “slutty” brownie minus the Oreos!
If you haven’t tried out Brookies, you MUST re-evaluate your dessert game and hop on the bandwagon.
With the Food Stirs products, you only need to combine a few ingredients, mix, lay down a cookie dough layer and top that layer with the brownie layer.
And VOILA, you have yourself a gourmet, heavenly brookie.
